Featured Rider | Lyric Blazvick | 111
At Moto Incorporated, our Featured Rider series is about spotlighting anyone out there making it happen, in the desert, at the track, or wherever they twist the throttle.
This round, we’re featuring Lyric Blazvick. Riding has always been second nature to him, and that mindset shows. He studies the best, focuses on staying smooth, and pushes himself to get more confident every race, especially when it comes to committing to big passes.
Can you tell us how you first got into riding dirt bikes and what inspired you to start?
My dad, I don't remember getting my first dirtbike, riding to me is like eating it has to happen.

What do you remember about your first race? Where was it, and how did it go?
My first race was in Mercury Nevada, it was so rocky, and I crashed in the wash like 4 times.
What kind of bike are you riding right now, and why do you like it?
I ride KTM 85sx, it is smooth and runs awesome. We just had the suspension done, I have a desert tank now too, so I can go on long rides with my dad.

Who do you look up to in the racing world, and why?
Jett Lawrence, because smooth is fast!
Is there a particular track or event that stands out as your favorite so far?
The Caliente National Hare and Hound, there were lots of hill climbs, I like climbing hills! I also like The Jordan OHV main track in Salt Lake City, there is a big step up on top of a huge hill and I loved that jump!
What are some goals you’re working towards this year?
I am going to make it all 8 hours and 20 minutes at the vurb500

What challenges have you faced while racing, and how have you overcome them?
Passing people over jumps. I was scared to land on someone, but I just learned to look ahead and plan out the pass.
If someone your age wanted to start riding, what advice would you give them?
Take your time, no one wins right away, focus on body position and keep your bike clean and maintained.
